Content Manager

Jaspr Health is on a mission to help care providers reduce death by suicide. We are a Seattle-based company founded and advised by some of the world’s experts in mental health and behavioral psychology, and we have launched a product that is currently enabling healthcare systems to deliver evidence-based suicide prevention at scale. Our company is growing, and we are now looking for a Content Manager to join our team.

If you are the person we’re looking for, you have experience creating, editing, and launching content. Today Jaspr primarily works in short-form video, but in the future it may be articles, podcasts, or – you tell us! The content may include educational content, marketing, purpose driven documentary work or games for good. Most importantly, though, you are passionate about the idea of using technology to reduce suicide and improve lives. If you are excited by the opportunity to do meaningful work for social justice and improving access to best care for underserved populations, and content creation is your craft, we would love to talk to you.

What We Do

Hospital emergency departments are the front line to prevent suicide, yet few are equipped for the increasing patient load — 14.5 million behavioral health emergencies per year, growing 12% annually. People in suicide crisis face lengths of stay four times longer than other emergencies. Throughput delays result in costs and lost revenue for hospitals. New regulations and workforce shortages drive health systems’ urgent need for technology solutions.

Jaspr Health’s tablet-based solution transforms hours of waiting into an opportunity for evidence-based interventions, powerful videos of individuals with lived experience to instill hope, a library of comfort and skills exercises, and EHR-integrated assessment to inform disposition decisions. Jaspr targets improved patient outcomes, satisfaction, and throughput ROI.

What We're Looking For

Jaspr Health is hiring a Content Manager to join our growing organization. Content is at the core of our product. The videos and written materials in the application provide comfort and education that is central to improving patient outcomes. Our new Content Manager will own the creation and production of all of our application’s patient and provider-facing materials, including videos, audio clips, and some written text. This person will have experience working in video production, comfortable creating, editing, and launching short-form interviews.

You will have a website or other portfolio that demonstrates your experience creating effective short-form videos. You have a knack for making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, including teens and transition-age youth. Ideally, you also have some experience working in healthcare settings, and with product teams to deliver software.

Job Description

  •    A website or portfolio that highlights experience creating high-quality short-form videos. Ideally this includes 1:1 short-form interviews.
  • Comfort producing a variety of application content, such as audio and text.
  •  Experience managing complex projects.
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable building trust and rapport with interview subjects, especially people with lived experiences (PLEs), teens, and transition-age youth.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working with a software team.
  • Experience working in healthcare settings.
